Coaches Mission

My purpose is to provide all my athletes with the necessary tools, mindset, and skills to become better players. This means that by the end of every session they will have learned something new or honed a certain skill. With continued coaching, my athletes can reasonably be expected to comprehend and perform the physical and mental baseball/softball skills needed to be successful. At VQ Training we feel that it is important to properly teach the fundamentals along with a steady dose of repetitions as being the KEY to ongoing player development.

meet the coach

Softball and baseball have been apart of my life since I was 5 and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The field is my happy place, my safe place, and my favorite place. Anything, that involves the game, I’m all in. I’ve been blessed to continue the love I have for the game, by teaching our youth. God knew what he was doing when he allowed me to take that leap of faith into doing what I’m so passionate about.

After I completed my college softball career, at Louisiana Tech, I decided to start coaching a select team out of Pearland, Texas. After coaching a while, parents asked, if I did private lessons. During that time, I didn’t. After talking it over with my own parents, they gave me the nudge and encouragement that I needed. I started coaching private lessons one on one for power hitting, catching & fielding, soon after.  I coached a select team and did as many lessons as I could while also working a full-time job. Over this time, I kept getting more and more calls, from parents, asking if I could coach their sons and daughters. I eventually stopped coaching select teams and focused on private lessons. During this process, I began to love coaching just as much as I had always loved playing. In the summer, of 2015, I resigned from the full-time job I had maintained. I was finally able to do what I’ve been passionate about my entire life, full time, coaching private lessons, as well as helping host camps throughout the year and helping out with team practices around Houston. It was definitely the best decision I’ve made and now, for the past 4 years, I’ve been able to say that I truly do what I love for a living. The joy I see in the kids when they see their progression is priceless.

My advice is, don’t be afraid to go for what you’re passionate about; I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.
